Always great authentic Serbian food. Has been for many years.

Was there for an appreciation lunch. I have eaten there before and the food is good. Order the burek, either the spinach and cheese or the beef. Can't go wrong with those. Only thing is they take time to cook. But the food is good no matter what you order.

Great ethnic Serbian food, service and drinks. Love the traditional style restaurant with true cultural heritage .Most popular are the traditional foods like burek, sarma, stuffed zucchini, and more. Homemade desserts like strudel, and sweet Serbian style crepes. A Milwaukee landmark since 1971.

Authentic, delicious Serbian food. Pleasant atmosphere.

Old town is a really interesting place to have dinner. The food is simple, delicious and fresh. The service is kind of random and dinner can take a while. This is the perfect place to go with old friends who you want to spend a while chatting with and then have some excellent food. This is not a place to go if you want to be done with dinner in a half hour. I had the Serbian tomato salad and the raznjici and both were fantastic.

Now owned by the second generation, this restaurant has not lost a step. Arguably the best restaurant in Milwaukee, Old Town's menu contains numerous choices of ethnic fare prepared in the "traditional" way, with the recipes handed down to the current owner. Service, as always was impeccable. Reasonably priced, tasteful live music provided by classical guitarist playing mostly Serbian traditional songs (though some Bosnian and Croatian songs were on the play list). Highly recommended

Service was great, we had the pleasure of having a new member on her staff, who did an outstanding job! Food was okay, but prices are higher than they indicate on their online menu ( that needs to be updated)

Great nostalgic atmosphere. Ample portions of the entrees. Tried Burek (spinach and cheese) and goulash. Delightful house wine. Parking okay

Amazing food, fantastic service and beautiful decor - you won't be disappointed. Try the escargot appetizer, it's amazing!! The staff is kind and knowledgeable. If you have gone there in the past, try it again: it's like time had stood still (in a good way!).

This restaurant is amazing. The service was impressive, the food the Best I've had in a long while. If you want to try a diamond in the food industry, this is it. The only thing that could be better is an update on the interior decor.

Worst food I have had in many years. Terrible service although they were short-staffed. Maybe a different experience on a different day, but I will never go back.

Service was good - we had a new waiter, and he was slow, but he's learning and did the best he could.Food was just meh, it wasnt horrible, but it wasnt spectacular eitherTheir menu prices are much higher than posted on their website (which should be updated)Dinner came with a pre-made tiny salad, very lightly (VERY) dressed olive oil, and a bread basket served with a butter-cream cheese spread and a tomato based sauceWill I go back? Doubtful

Very unfriendly atmosphere and food wasn't that good either. With another restaurant offering Serbian food nearby I don't understand how this place even stays open.

Menu has some authentic choices, prices are not so. Pushing the prices high it's not helping the popularity. Not planning on returning.

Not the best location for a good dinner. Food is very expensive. Cheapest plate there is $17 and only come with salad. Food tastes ok but not worth the price!

We celebrated my parent's 50th wedding anniversary at Old Town yesterday. It was a fabulous experience from beginning to end. The service and food are always both amazing! I expect quite a bit when it comes to service, and Old Town never disappoints. If you are looking for a perfect Serbian meal this is the place. If you have never tried Serbian food, there is no better time than the present. The Serbian tomato salad, raznjici (grilled pork tenderloin kabob) and burek (phyllo dough filled with meat/cheese) are our favorites! We will definitely be visiting again soon.

The food is definitely authentic! We had a large dinner where we shared several dishes like sarma, ćevapi, musaka, calf knee, etc. and it is all really made as in any good restaurant in Serbia! The live acoustic music (with old time Balkan songs) only added to the good atmosphere

My friend and I decided on splitting the tomato salad which is always tasty. The bread and butter/cheese along with the eggplant with pepper spread was awesome! We had the shish kabob and the eggplant in an egg custard, both were delightful.For dessert.we had coffee,. which was delicious and the schaum torte which was not.the usual merangue. It was delicious however.

I have going to this restaurant for years...and when I come into Milwaukee I will often plan to eat here...love the food, staff is very knowledgeable.. yes it is in a very old part of the city and the building is old (just like those in Europe) but it has character. It is like a hidden find...that makes you think "why don't more people know of this place?" Food is old world style...authentic!

Excellent food and ambiance. Waitress was very professional & met all of our needs but not very friendly to approach. That's the only negative thing I can think of. We would highly recommend this place!

Rather disappointing dinner. The burek was overcooked and wasn't the one I ordered. The cheese one served me was totally lacking in flavor. Lamb shank was overpowered by the tomatoes sauce. On the positive side, the Serbian tomato salad was fantastic as was the escargot. I'd go back and just have those two things.

I have been enjoying the delicious food at this restaurant since 1974. Authentic, remarkable flavors in an inviting, historic setting. Big, big yum.

We had a great time here on a slow Tuesday night. From the sweet Serbian cocktails to the huge burek entree, everything was delicious. The service was excellent and overall the atmosphere was charming. A good restaurant for an offbeat date night.

Absolutely love this place! It's like stepping back in time and possibly to another continent. We always enjoy the food, ethnic drinks, and great service. It's astonishingly easy to get a table and confusing that such a wonderful dining establishment has such low patronage. Go enjoy an authentic meal and the leftovers! (Cause your not likely to finish one of their portions in one sitting)

Food was good, service was less than desired. I sat for most of the meal with an empty water glass for most of the meal. The service was so slow that our group left to attend concert. I waited for the desert to be finished and packaged togo. The wait staff was very uninformative as the status of the desert, until the main waiter came over a 1/2 hour later and asked if we needed anything. A great place to grow old and enjoy the food while you grow old.

An absolute masterpiece of style, selection, intelligent staff, fair prices and mind altering flavors. Yes the location isn’t great for parking,but seriously take an Uber . This is a perfect spot for a date night as well as any type of holiday party. So fantastic. Highly recommend the escargot, and the “Serbian salad”. Bravo!

I wish I could give this no stars. We walked into Old Town last night for dinner. There was a woman sitting at a table with her back to us doing paperwork and she never bothered to turn around and greet us other then keeping her back to us saying "I'll be right with you." She continued to do her paperwork for about a minute. Then asked if we had reservations. We did. Then she said, I'll have to set up your table and walked off. Why would the table not already be ready? We peeked into the kitchen while we waited for our table and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. It wasn't very clean. We left, but not before letting the hostess know - or whoever she was - that this was unacceptable.

Love this place. The food is absolutely delicious. The owner is very nice . You have to walk around the dining room and look at all the beautiful art work.

Great food as always, love the pepper tomato salad as an appetizer.

Our first visit to Old Town under its new management. Wonderful, traditional food, and excellent service. (We were welcomed like family!) We'll be back!

Have had dinner many times at Old Town over last 30yrs never been disappointed

Just had a delightful meal with Burek and Mousaka for our entrees. Delicious! The burek is made with phyllo and made fresh. The Mousaka is an eggplant, beef and custard dish. Creamy! Our waiter, Bojan, was new but did an outsanding job. I tried the pumpkin apple soup and we shared the Serbian appetizer plate. The Serbian potato salad is a must. The owner didn't rush us and we enjoyed our evening so very much, finishing it off with Serbian coffee We love the old world atmosphere. We hope to be back often.
